Report a Crime/Misconduct

REPORTING A CRIME MIGHT BE AS EASY AS DIALING 911.

To report an EMERGENCY, DIAL 911 immediately (crime in progress, bomb threat, medical emergency, suspicious persons or unusual behavior, need help anywhere on or off campus, moderate to large chemical spills, extended power outages, fires, etc.).

To report a NON-EMERGENCY (bike theft, damaged vehicle, etc.), DIAL 612-624-COPS (2677) or e-mail (police@umn.edu).

CONFIDENTIAL REPORTING: NON-CRIMINAL VIOLATIONS UReports

Reporting incidents of misconduct (such as misuse of University property or equipment, violation of safety rules; NCAA violations, misuse of the University's network of computers, etc.) by a University employee, co-worker, colleague, etc. can be much more difficult for employees.

To learn more about reporting misconduct by a University employee, or to file a confidential and anonymous report of misconduct on a secured Web site, CLICK HERE.
